Digital Learning

Any school closure will be communicated using ParentSquare, the GCPS website, and local news outlets. In the event that a school closure is necessary, the district could opt to hold a Digital Learning Day rather than using a snow make-up day. If the decision is made to hold a Digital Learning Day, it will be communicated as noted above, and the school and district processes for online learning will go into effect. If a decision is made to use a standard make-up day, students and staff will not be expected to access assignments online.  

On a Digital Learning Day, teachers will post assignments on their eCLASS pages. 

• Elementary school assignments will be posted by 9 AM. 
• Level Creek Elementary teachers will be monitoring their page throughout the day if students or parents have any questions. You are also welcome to email your child's teacher if you have any trouble.

​If you have multiple students attending Level Creek, each student is expected to participate. This means each student will need to log in to his or her Student Portal/My eCLASS page individually.

Students can bring home their assigned Chromebook as long as the Back to School Enrollment forms have been completed. This was sent out via ParentSquare.

Gwinnett County Public Schools has 4 digital learning days scheduled for the 2024-25 school year.

User ID = student ID number
Password = 2 pictures chosen by student at the beginning of the year

GCPS Chromebooks

GCPS Chromebooks are pre-configured to only accept a student's GCPS log in credentials.

Personal Chromebooks

Those using a personal Chromebook for Digital Learning Days should add their GCPS G-Suite account as a "New User".  Should you be logged into your Chromebook with a personal Gmail account you may not be able to access all of the needed resources to complete your Digital Learning Day activities.

To add a GCPS account to your Chromebook:

1. Log out all users.  You will need to be on the log in screen.
2. Select "New User" (some may have the option to "Add Person") at the bottom of the screen
3. You will be prompted to enter your Google email address.
   • Student G-Suite email addresses are {firstname}.{lastname}{last 4 digits of student ID}@g.gcpsk12.org.
   • Example:  John Doe with a student id of 201987654 would have an email address of john.doe7654@g.gcpsk12.org
   • Please note these email addresses are not able to send and receive emails from outside the domain.
4. Click "Next"
5. You will be presented with the student portal log in screen.  Your student will know the username and password and will be able to log in.

Please use a guest browser or log out of all other Google/Gmail accounts prior to logging in to your Student Portal, eCLASS or your GCPS G-Suite/Google account.  Should you be logged into another account you may not have access to the needed documents to complete your activities.

When contacting your teacher for support please include as much detail as possible. 

• What kind or type of device are you using (PC, Mac, Chromebook, iPad, Android tablet, etc.)?
• If it's a Chromebook is it a personal Chromebook or a GCPS issued device?
• The resource you are attempting to access (Student Portal, eCLASS, Google Classroom).
• Include screen shots if possible.
